It’s April and spring fever has arrived! In this month’s blog series, we’ll be sharing different ways to make your dates really sizzle at the Whitby Entertainment Centrum.
You’ve finally done it! You asked out that person who’s been on your mind for months! And they said yes. But now, you’ve got to figure out what to do that’s casual, but fun and will really wow them, all without breaking the bank.
Lucky for you, we have options for pretty much anyone and to suit any budget.
Not even that much of a splurge, but definitely the most extravagant first date. Start the night off with dinner at Tatemono restaurant for some great Sushi and Sake. This authentic Japanese restaurant has an extensive menu as well as all-you-can-eat options for those of you who adore your sushi. Fresh is the name of the game here, and they have a fantastic wine and beer menu.
Once you’ve had your fill, work off some of that food at Putting Edge Indoor Mini-Golf. Make sure you’re prepared for this glo-in-the-dark madhouse and aim for that hole in one!
Looking for a nite-cap? Head on over to Caffé Demetre for a late night dessert and chat.
The Laid Back Date
All that planning not quite your speed? No worries! Spend the night tucked into a dark corner at Trinity Irish Pub. They’ve always got a great special on and live music a few nights a week. This place is perfect for the guy (or gal) interested in a more chill atmosphere where talking and relaxing are the number one date priority.
Looking for something a little more classic? Check out Landmark Cinemas for a movie night! There’s always something great playing at Landmark, and with so many great meal options close by, you can opt into going for a bite or drink before or after your movie – and it might help ease your conversation with something to talk about!
No matter what you choose as your first date, know that just getting the date is the biggest hurdle of all. Being brave enough to go out there and ask for some one-on-one time with a near stranger is always the hardest part, so we’re here to make sure that everything that comes after is easy, seamless and doesn’t break the bank.
